Next Step - Measuring - Getting us the correct sizes.
Square Cushions
For cushions that are perfectly square (No curves at all) we just need the measurements, these can be emailed to us for faster service, use the chart below for the correct terminology we use, remember that we will put the zipper on the Length side of the cushion as the Length represents the front and back measurment.
T-Cushions and Curved Cushions
For cushions with T's or curves, we need for you to send us a template of the cushions, one template is required for each different sized cushion. To make the template - follow the instructions below,
Step One - Paper - get some paper, you can get some from the hardware store, maybe some fabric stores, or even right around your house, if the paper is large enough that the whole cushion will sit on top of it then it will work, if not, tape pieces together until it is large enough, if you do tape paper together, be sure its taped well enough not to come apart when mailed. One suggestion - the back of gift wrapping makes a great paper to use for a template.
Step Two - Marking - Place your cushion on top of the paper making sure there is paper visible around the whole cushion. and make sure the cushion is laying perfectly flat, a table will work great for smaller and average size cushions but some longer cushions will need to be done on the floor.
Using a pen, pencil or marker go ahead and mark all of the corners and curves, be sure the cushion doesn't move when marking, you do not have to draw out the whole cushion in most cases, see the illustration below for and idea how the pattern will look, the straight edges will be filled in when we transfer your pattern to plastic.
Make sure the pen is straight up and down when drawing the lines all the way around, once you have your cushion drawn out, write "Zipper" on the side which would be the back of the cushion, we can normally tell where the zipper goes but not always. Also if there are more than one cushion this size than write down the number of cushions needed for this pattern. Below is a good example of a completed pattern. (Thickness not marked yet)
With this example you can see this is for a chair T-cushion, the customer has 2 chairs and wants 2 identical covers.
Step Three - Thickness - Getting the correct thickness is very important, the best way to get the thickness is to put a flat object on top of the cushion and stand a ruler next to the cushion, this will give you a pretty good measurment (see below)
Once you get your thickness - write it down on the pattern. and thats it, do this for every pattern you want made and send these to the address below, if you paid with a check - allow about 1 week to 10 days extra for the check to clear, if you paid with Paypal your order will arrive within 10 days, about 12 days for credit cards.
